Charles Cattermole

Director: Operations & Enablement (Co-Founder)

Charles is passionate about the clean energy transition. He specialises in building and implementing new strategies, business models, products and technical capabilities that help organisations transition to a low carbon energy system. Charles core skills lie in: 

• Energy Markets - Experienced with spot trading, market settlements and hedging. 
• DER Product Development - Scoping, testing, and scaling new energy products across all market segments. 
• Energy Regulation – In depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for the NEM / WEM including current rule changes and industry reform impacting DER. 
• Strategy & Investment – Building business strategies and investment cases for organisations to enter new markets, develop new business models or deploy new products.

Charles has a wide range of experience that includes networks (Ausnet Services), retailers (EnergyAustralia), start-ups (GreenSync, Evergen), as well as a variety of technical and commercial consulting roles.

He has more recently focused on net zero projects and has assisting with market entry strategies for various start-ups looking at DER, metering and other energy services markets.

Charles holds an MBA, Graduate degree in commerce, and a Bachelors degree in engineering. Charles is also an Executive Director and Treasurer of the Australian Institute of Energy.

Mark Netto

Director: Business Development & Partnerships (Co-Founder)

Mark specialises in working with clean energy technology companies of varied sizes, from start-ups to Tier 1 electricity retailers. As a Mechanical Engineer and an Energy Manager, he well-positioned to analyse, assess and apply technologies to the built environment. This, coupled with his sales, business development, and consulting experience, enables him to decipher, distill and deliver complex systems and ideas, in a simple yet effective way. Mark’s core competencies are:

• Market Entry and Technical Business Development – Experienced in taking companies and technologies into Europe, EMEA, Asia and Australia
• New Venture Creation – Involved in the creation of over 10 businesses across Asia and Australia, including an Electricity Retailer
• Demand Side Management, DER and VPP – In-depth knowledge of both the technical and commercial aspects
• Strategic Key Account development and management – Experienced in working with both governments and industry

Mark has a wide range of experience that includes retailers (EnergyAustralia, Diamond Electric), scale-ups (GreenSync, PHPower), as well as a variety of technical and commercial consulting roles.

Mark graduated as a Mechanical Engineer with First Class Honours. He is qualified as a Singapore Certified Energy Manager.
